The new bandshell at Cedar Creek Park in Cedarburg was unveiled at the first Summer Sounds concert series on Friday, June 17. The Greater Cedarburg Foundation, in partnership with the Greater Milwaukee Foundation, is proud to have had a part in making the renovated facility possible.

As part of its centennial celebration, the Greater Milwaukee Foundation gifted $200,000 to the bandshell project. The GCF contributed another $50,000 to the cause. The remaining funds were raised by the Rotary Club of Cedarburg-Grafton as part of its 50th anniversary project.

The renovation entailed replacing the existing, 50-year-old bandshell with a larger stage, an extended roof, added storage space for musical equipment and new electrical service and lighting. Local architectural firm Groth Design Group donated its services to design the facility that uses natural timbers and stone. The new bandshell will attract larger bands, accommodate theatrical performances and provide a better overall experience for audiences.
