The Greater Cedarburg Foundation (GCF) has awarded grants totaling $200,000 to 12 local non-profit organizations as part of its annual grant cycle.
“This year’s grant process is especially notable, as it is the largest endowment-funded grant cycle in our Foundation’s 26-year history. These gifts exemplify the generosity of our donors and of our shared commitment to preserving and enhancing all that makes Cedarburg special,” said Joe Rintelman, GCF Vice President, at the annual Civic Award event.
Organizations receiving grants for the 2025-2026 GCF grant cycle include:
- Portal, Inc. to support transportation and accessibility services that help adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities participate more fully in work, programs, and community life: $5,000.
- Cedarburg Music Festivals, Ltd. to support Summer Sounds, the free summer concert series that has become a beloved Cedarburg tradition, bringing neighbors, families, and visitors together to enjoy live music in the heart of the community: $5,000.
- Ozaukee County Historical Society to update computer workstations at the Hazel Wirth Archives, improving access to Cedarburg-area historical research and records: $5,000.
- Wisconsin Museum of Quilts & Fiber Arts to support its 2026 Soft Architectures exhibition, featuring curated artwork, public programs, and artist engagement that will broaden appreciation for fiber arts: $5,000.
- Blossom IDD to support its Garden Parties program, which creates opportunities for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to build connections and engage in the community: $6,000.
- Interfaith Caregivers of Ozaukee County to provide wheelchair-accessible transportation and mobility support for older adults and individuals with disabilities: $9,000.
- Cedarburg Art Museum & Society to repair the front porch of the historic Wittenberg-Jochem Mansion, helping preserve a historic landmark in downtown Cedarburg: $10,000.
- Family Promise of Ozaukee County to help families remain safely housed through homeless prevention efforts, including rental assistance and case management services: $10,000.
- Lakeshore Regional Child Advocacy Center to update multimedia equipment that helps create a supportive, trauma-informed environment for conducting child abuse investigations: $10,000.
- Ozaukee County Planning and Parks Department to complete flood cleanup and restoration at Covered Bridge County Park following severe flood damage in 2025, restoring damaged walking trails, repairing infrastructure, and planting trees: $10,000.
- Cedarburg High School to transform the current teaching kitchen into a professional culinary lab with commercial-grade equipment, supporting CHS’ commitment to providing Career and Technical Education that prepares students for in-demand careers: $25,000.
- Cedarburg Cultural Center to launch a major rebranding and facility enhancement initiative, creating more functional, welcoming, and flexible spaces for arts, history, and public programming, and strengthening the Center’s long-term sustainability: $100,000.
The Greater Cedarburg Foundation is a philanthropic organization that uses private funding to support projects and programs that enhance the quality of life in the Greater Cedarburg community. More than $2 million in grants have been awarded to non-profit organizations during its 26-year history.
